George and Eve Weimer, Sr.
These pictures were sent to me by Dorothy Smith from the Potter County
Historical Society. The were touched up before Dorothy copied them, perhaps
as they were given to the historicl society. Now they have been touched
up twice, because I eliminated some streaking present in both photos.
George and Eva appear together in very similar poses in Victor Beebe's
A History of Potter County which was published in 1934. I do not know
anything about the originals from which these were made - who has them,
what they look like, or who scanned them.

The second page of the Passenger List of the brig DIDO on wich the Weimers
sailed to America. If you save it to your own system, you can enlarge
it to a readable size. The Weimer family is marked with a bracket on the
left edge.
